::That's an interesting query. I don't know of any Welsh name for Dorset (you can see we have [[Dorset]] here, not a Welsh form of the name). ''Dwrn'' does indeed mean "fist" and ''gwarae'' is a medieval Welsh form of ''chwarae'' "play", but ''dwrn''+''gwarae'' would give ''Dwrnwarae'' or something similar ("Fist-play") and I can not see how this could be the origin of the word 'Dorset' (''-set'' is English anyway, cf. Somer''set''). It seems that someone has found that somewhere on the internet perhaps - there are many unreliable websites on Celtic subjects. To make sure, I have checked the ''University of Wales Dictionary'' under ''dwrn'' and there is no suggestion of an etymological link to the name 'Dorset' - if it existed I am sure it would be mentioned there.
