The Mk II Cortina, built from 1966-70 was a squarer, boxier shape than the Mk I. Engines were initially carried over from the Mk I but replaced in 1967 with the 1600 with the cross flow head. A mild facelift in 1969 saw separate F O R D letters on bonnet and boot, a black grille and chrome above and below the tail lights. In England and NZ the models were; Base, Deluxe, Super, GT and in 1967, 1600E (NZ GTE). Australian models were 220, 240, 440, 440L, GT and GTL. Ford didn't produce Cortina convertibles but Crayford Auto Developments in Kent, England did. They offered all models of the Cortina, from Mk I to Mk IV and the Ford Corsair as well.Around 400 Mk IIs were made, mainly based on GTs.
