English: Looking downstream - the Ey Burn Below Altanour the Ey Burn runs into a part of the glen with a flat floor, the site of a former lake. The crag on the right of the photo is Creag an Fhuathais - the 'Crag of the Spectre', where a phantom - something 'loathsome, black, shapeless and monstrous' moves along the hillside and occasionally rolls boulders down on to people below. Fortunately the only thing moving along the hillside on our visit was a herd of red deer. |
