English: View from the Curly Tree on An Eilrig The Curly Tree is a landmark of our travel to the nearest village, where our children all went to school. Hardly a day went by without them greeting its appearance on the skyline from their transport on the B970. Seen up close, it's not all that curly, merely slightly wind-shaped, but being an individual it really stands out. This will all change as the moorland round and below it is visibly transforming into birch woodland. Also in the view are the strath of the River Spey and the Southern edge of the Monadhliath. |
