A ddylai teitl y rhestr hon gael ei nodi gyda rhestrau fel Cymry, nofelwr, dawnswyr ar y ddalen Hafan?
Dileu?
golyguShould this page be deleted? This page has not been updated since October 2006, and not in a major way since 2004; there's no definative definition of 'enwog' (hence the deleting of the 'Cymru enwog' categori in 2007); it does not list any politicians from out side of Wales; we already have articles with lists of Welsh politicians: an example of MPs here and an example of ACau here. - I'm going to move it to Rhestr gwleidyddion, for the reasons you give (any more of these "enwog" lists left?). I'd suggest keeping it as a 'list of lists', so to speak. Perhaps the Welsh examples could go to a new page Rhestr gwleidyddion Cymreig, which could incorporate a link to your lists of contemporary politicos? I mean, there are a lot of former/historical politicians which could go on it - Lloyd George etc. Just an idea. Anatiomaros 22:39, 13 Mehefin 2010 (UTC)
- I've made a start, but it's nearly midnight. I think some lists might not be in the categories (surprise, surprise!). Anatiomaros 22:51, 13 Mehefin 2010 (UTC)
- If it's going to be a list of lists, would it be better to move it to 'Rhestrau gwleidyddion'?
I've found a few more 'enwog' lists with this search.
My lists of ASau will eventually go back to 1536, but at the moment I've decided to start from 1945-50 and move forward, rather than move backwards from 2005 (the former being easier for me), which should cover many of the historical politicians you have put on the article page. Paul-L 15:07, 14 Mehefin 2010 (UTC)- I think I've got all the "enwogion" lists. Most are pitiful stubs but some could become lists of lists, as here. Anatiomaros 21:33, 14 Mehefin 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, 'Rhestrau...' would make more sense. It did occur to me just after moving it, but that's what comes of deciding to do these things last thing at night! Good to hear how far back the list of ASau will eventually go. It might still be a good idea to have a (?selected) list of Welsh politicians as a) Not all politicians of note have actually been elected to office and, b) It would make them easier to find/browse, especially for those unfamiliar with the topic. - We could have an article called 'List of Notable Welsh Politicians', and then decide on a list of criteria - Cabinet position in Westminster/Assembly government; ASau/ACau who served more than 20 years. It would have to be decided if it is limited politicians representing a part (i.e. constituency, etc.) of Wales, but who may not be Welsh (e.g. Stefan Terlezki); or those who are Welsh, but didn't represent a part of Wales (e.g. John Prescott); or both. Paul-L 16:33, 21 Mehefin 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, these are good points. Your lists could go at the top of the new page, for a start. As for who to include, that's a bit tricky as it brings up the question of 'notability'; even length of terms in office doesn't automatically qualify someone, I suppose (plenty of dogsbodies around!). Have to mull this over... Anatiomaros 16:45, 21 Mehefin 2010 (UTC)
