Fe'i gweithiwyd fel chwarel gan The Liverpool and Pwllheli Granite Company, a ffurfiwyd yn 1867. Cloddiwyd y rhan fwyaf o'r graig, ond mae rhan bychan ohoni'n dal i fodoli.
