Hi sefydlodd Gronfa Wobr er cof am Byron, Shelley, Keats yn 1888, a ddatganwyd gan yr Academi Brydeinig fel yr unig wobr lenyddol ym Mhrydain ar gyfer ysgolheigion benywaidd.[2] Fel dyngarwr, talodd am ran o Ysgol Uwchradd y Faenor a Phenderyn yn oddeutu 1861.
