Many thanks for your help. Attempted to follow your suggestions, but with no luck. I'm not sure if [Defnyddiwr:Llywelyn2000/common.js this page] is good, as the link is red. Llywelyn2000 (sgwrs) 06:36, 26 Tachwedd 2015 (UTC)Ateb

Hi there, Your line of code in the common.js file looks good. I just ported over the gadget to my common.js file and it worked.

On the 'Rhagor' link at the top right of the page, can you click on it and see 'GoogleTrans(on)'?

If so, can you point the cursor over a word in a page, like the main page, and hit the SHIFT key. You should then see that welsh word with the English translation in a beige popup just to the right of the world.

Content Translation golygu

I just turned on Content Translation on the cywiki and it worked for me.

You should make sure your private gadget is working on the main wiki page first by

1) hover cursor over a word 2) hold SHIFT key down for a second 3) see if a popup happens.

Then, if this is the case, you should see if it happens on the cywiki.

I think I know what has happened.

You have translated something from Welsh to English, and the actual Content Translation has happened on the enwiki. You would need to turn on the GoogleTrans gadget in the enwiki if this is the case.

You should be okay if you are translating from English to Welsh, as long as the gadget is actually running for you on the cywiki. (see note above)

Many thanks for such a quick, comprehensive response! Diolch! I only translate / adapt from en to cy. It works, but has many errors. I'll trial it for a while, and get back to you. Thanks again! Llywelyn2000 (sgwrs) 15:23, 26 Tachwedd 2015 (UTC)Ateb

Thanks for your response. If it's working, then in Content Translation everytime you select a paragraph in the second column and hold down the CTRL-ALT keys then the English in the second column should change to Welsh, with the HTML markup kept. In this mode there is no popup, the text is replaced. Now I can't promise that it is really good for you since the Welsh-English language pair may not be good. But please do tell me how it goes. I find for French to English it is quite helpful although I constantly have to turn bad English sentences into good English sentences. Endo999 (sgwrs) 19:56, 26 Tachwedd 2015 (UTC)Ateb
