CreaduriaidGolygu

Diolch yn fawr am y gwaith anhygoel heddiw ar greaduriaid arfordir Prydain: cyfraniad bendigedig! Dwi wedi ychwanegu categoriau i'r categori newydd. Dau gwestiwn bach:

Oes 'na gategori tebyg ar enwici? Os oes 'na, fedri di rhoi'r ddolen ryngwici iddo, plîs?
Ydy "Prydain" yn golygu'r Alban, Cymru a Lloegr yn unig (Ynys Prydain) neu'r DU (h.y. yn cynnwys Gog. Iwerddon)?

Hwyl, Anatiomaros (sgwrs) 00:17, 30 Hydref 2014 (UTC)

Helo. Cael y bas data wnes i; ond mae'r rhywogaethau i gyd yn ffinio arfordir Cymru. Efallai, felly mai gwell fyddai defnyddio Categori:Rhywogaethau sydd ar arfordir Cymru, yn hytrach na Phrydain. Roedd y bas-data gwreiddiol yn cynnwys bron i 600 o feysydd, ond fe ffiltrwyd y rhain i lawr i'r rheiny a oedd ar fas-data Cymdeithas Edward Llwyd (a gefais gan Robin) - sef y rhai hynny a oedd ag enwau Cymraeg. Mae na Gategori ar enwici am adar o Gymru, a dyna ni! Dim byd fel hyn. Wici Rhuthun 1 (sgwrs) 17:19, 30 Hydref 2014 (UTC)
Diolch am yr esboniad. Does dim problem felly - poeni oeddwn i am y ffaith fod tuedd i ddefnyddio'r enw "Prydain", yn anghywir, i gyfeirio at y DU (sy'n cynnwys rhan o ynys Iwerddon, wrth gwrs...). Mae'r categori newydd wedi ei roi yn y categorïau Arfordir Cymru a Ffawna a fflora Cymru felly mae'n iawn am rwan dwi'n meddwl; mae digon o waith categoreiddio i'w wneud yma'n barod heb ychwanegu ato! Iawn hyd y gwela i; sori am fod yn hir! Cell Danwydd (sgwrs) 14:16, 9 Tachwedd 2014 (UTC)

Thanks from Charlotte M. TaylorGolygu

Hello. Apologies for writing in English. I am writing to convey the thanks of Dr. Charlotte M. Taylor for whom I believe you created the Welsh language Wikipedia page (https://cy.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlotte_M._Taylor). She wanted to tell you that her grandmother was born in Wales, and in fact spoke Welsh at home growing up in Pennsylvania. She's not certain where in Wales her grandmother was from, except maybe the north coast, and doesn't know her original last name; they were called Jones in Pennsylvania. Emjackson42 (sgwrs) 19:54, 5 Tachwedd 2018 (UTC)

@Emjackson42: Croeso! Welcome! I'll try and develop the article a bit further. Do let me know when she finds out a bit more about her family. Archifdy Gwynedd (Gwynedd Archives) would be a good place to start. Wici Rhuthun 1 (sgwrs) 09:32, 20 Tachwedd 2018 (UTC)
