Plaid Brexit

plaid gwrth-Ewrop yng ngwledydd Prydain
(Ailgyfeiriad oddi wrth Brexit Party)

Mae Plaid Brexit (enw swyddogol: Brexit Party) yn blaid wleidyddol sy'n ymgyrchu dros i'r Deyrnas Unedig adael yr Undeb Ewropeaidd (UE). Yn gyffredinol, fe'i disgrifir fel "poblyddol" (populist), ac fe'i cefnogir gan bobl sy'n rhwystredig gyda sut y gweithredwyd canlyniad Refferendwm 2016 gan Lywodraeth Lloegr ac sy'n dymuno gadael yr UE heb aros yn rhan o'r farchnad sengl na'r undeb tollau. Mae'r Blaid Brexit yn portreadu ei hun fel rhywbeth sy'n canolbwyntio ar adfer sofraniaeth ddemocrataidd Prydain. Ei phrif bolisi yw i'r DU adael yr UE a masnachu ar delerau Sefydliad Masnach y Byd hyd nes y gellir gwneud cytundebau masnach ffurfiol.[4][1]

Ymgorfforwyd cwmni o'r enw The Brexit Party Limited gyda Thŷ'r Cwmnïau ar 23 Tachwedd 2018.[5] Fe'i cyhoeddwyd yn ffurfiol ar 20 Ionawr 2019 gan gyn-lefarydd economeg UKIP Catherine Blaiklock, a fu'n gwasanaethu fel arweinydd cychwynnol y blaid.[6][7] Ar 5 Chwefror 2019, cafodd ei gofrestru gyda Chomisiwn Etholiadol y Deyrnas Unedig ar gyfer ymgeiswyr mewn unrhyw etholiadau yn Lloegr, yr Alban, Cymru a'r Undeb Ewropeaidd.[8]

Ar ôl cyhoeddi sefydlu'r blaid, fe ddenodd Blaiklock feirniadaeth ar gyfer sylwadau cynharach ganddi a ddisgrifiwyd fel Islamoffobig.[9] Ymddiswyddodd fel arweinydd y blaid ar 20 Mawrth 2019 oherwydd ei negeseuon gwrth-Islam a gafodd eu dileu ers hynny ar Twitter, gan gynnwys ail-drydar negeseuon gan bobl asgell-dde gan gynnwys Mark Collett, Tommy Robinson a Joe Walsh.[10]
